In response to Northern Light's abrupt decision to leave the Castine Clinic, the CCHC board met on Friday. It took action to accelerate the previously announced process of establishing a Direct Primary Care center in that facility. The objective, consistent with CCHC's primary mission, is to continue to provide high-quality, readily accessible heath care for the people in this region. While it may not be possible to have everything in place by February 27, our goal is to be able to describe both the structure, timing, and staffing of this DPC by that date.
